Unfortunately devs tried to make the game too flashy, some crazy jumps or fighting 20 enemies at once is not really doing anything good for this game, it is only making it look cheap. Especially those action-arcade elements when you are escaping from somewhere can be epic. It is a mix of everything - exploring, puzzles, action, arcade elements, combat, stealth, gathering materials. Gameplay wise the game is good for the most part. One drawback to visual quality is that there is a lot of aliasing and no sensible way to remove it, also distant landscape is sometimes not that good. Visually the game is absolutely amazing, scenery is great, lighting is superb and character design and quality is just unbelievable at times. I wasn't expecting much from this game and I approached it with conviction that I am only playing this because of visuals, but it actually was quite engaging. Regardless I really liked rotr and I'll probably play it again when it releases for ps4 since it will most likely have the dlc which I didn't get a chance to play Oh and the level design, character animations, story, characters,set pieces etc are nowhere near as good in rotr compared to uc4. I liked rotr but the platforming and climbing was floaty as hell and the gunplay is beyond average besides using the bow which is why stealth is such a heavy part of that game because it would never stand up if it had to count on its gunplay only. There's nothing clunky about uc 4 controls and the cover system is far from horrible like I know it's your 'opinion' but come on no reviews ever bring stuff like that up all you hear is how improved the gunplay is and how it smooth it is to control and that's because what you said is just not true.
